Film Entry Rules
1. Films must be on DVD-R format only.
2. Films need to be accompanied by items under CHECKLIST. (Please go to REGISTRATION link for full details.)
3.The content of the film must be appropriate for a community based audience. Judges and/or RAAC(Rosemount Area Arts Council) will remove films that they deem unfit for a general audience.
4. Maximum film length is 44 minutes including credits. (ex: 44:01 sec. is too long)
5. All Filmmakers under 18 years of age, must have parental signatures to enter.
6. All films, including music and scripts, must be in compliance with copywright laws. If not, you are responsible for the infringement.
7. Judging evaluation will be done on overall production and entertainment value and will occur prior to the festival. The winning films will be presented on at the awards gala.
8. Films selected will be subject to the time constraints of the festival hours and some may not be shown, No refunds will given.

10. Entrants agree that their films (with proper credit) can be shown or displayed
at other venues in conjunction with the festival at no cost to RAAC or
connected venue. (ex: pubic access channel)

2012 Categories
Definitions:
Professional: For seasoned veterans of filmmaking whether in shorts of feature length. Other examples would be filmmaking school, working with professionally trained crew members or production companies, being shown at other film festivals and/or winning previous awards for film work. ( Ages 16 and up. Open to United States residents.)
Amateur: For newcomers to filmmaking where this is one of their first films with limited access to professional crew or equipment whether by choice or budget. Other examples would be no formal training or previous film festival entries. (Ages 16 and up. Open to United States residents.)
Youth: For youth filmmakers honing their craft or just starting out the search will be for the most creative storytellers based on their age. (Ages 15 and under. Open to entrants Worldwide.)
Local: Whether you are amateur or professional, adult or youth, if you are a Minnesota resident you will be considered for this category to honor our state's best.
Foreign: This is for professional or amateur entries from around the world of any age.
(Non-United States residents.)
People's Choice: Votes will be tabulated from viewing day and/or awards night
participants. (Open to entrants worldwide)
